Oak AI operates an AI-powered text messaging assistant for local businesses. When you text a phone number connected to our service, you will receive automated responses from an AI assistant that can answer questions, provide business information, and schedule appointments. Message types include:

Appointment confirmations and reminders
Post-visit follow-up messages requesting feedback
Google review requests for satisfied customers
General business information and directions

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the service, typically 2-5 messages per interaction or appointment cycle. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

When you contact a Client Business through our AI assistant via SMS or phone call, we may collect:

Your mobile phone number
The content of your text messages
Appointment details you provide (preferred date, time, service requested, barber preference)
Your feedback responses (thumbs up/down replies)
Call transcripts when you interact with our voice assistant
Any other information you voluntarily share during the conversation

We collect this information when you initiate contact by texting a Client Business phone number or scanning a QR code that opens a text message to that number.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

Respond to your questions about the Client Business
Schedule, confirm, modify, or remind you of appointments
Send a brief follow-up message after your visit to request feedback
Send a Google review link to customers who indicate a positive experience
Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI assistant

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your conversation data is processed through secure, encrypted channels. With the Client Business you contacted — so they can fulfill your appointment or service request

6. SMS Opt-In and Opt-Out

By texting a Client Business phone number powered by Oak AI, or by scanning an Oak AI QR code that initiates a text message, you consent to receive SMS responses and follow-up messages from that Client Business via our platform.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To opt back in, reply START.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact the Client Business directly.

7. Your Rights and Data Requests

You have the right to:

Request to know what information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
